Edge
The term ‘Belting' has now changed to ‘Edge'. ‘Belting' is a common word to describe loud singing, so earlier it was an obvious choice for the name of the full-metallic vocal mode. However, during the years we have seen many singers getting confused by the term ‘Belting' because it is used with many different meanings. Some use the word ‘Belting' for a Curbing sound, some for an Overdrive sound and some even use the term for a twanged Neutral sound. In order to prevent this confusion the term ‘Belting' will therefore be avoided and replaced with the term ‘Edge', which is used exclusively for the powerful and full-metallic sound.
